AS A REMEINDER, SOJO COFFEE WILL BE CLOSED TOMORROW, TUESDAY AUGUST 5. We will reopen Wednesday 7am.

Danielle and I will be honoring the life of a very special regular at SOJO, Harris Darling, who found our little coffee shop early in our business. Almost immediately we became friends as his warmth and genuine smile invited me to sit awhile and have coffee. Our conversation quickly turned into a shared passion for collecting, local history, antique furniture and many other oddities we both enjoyed "hunting". These discussions quickly turned into our weekly "Show-and-Tell" as Harris would bring the most interesting things he collected over the course of his life. From antiques to artifacts, even the occasional antique firearm, we would sit like children and marvel over the craftsmanship, rarity, and history of an item he cherished and was kind enough to share with me. The shop got busy, but I sat as long as I could get away with enjoying all he had to say. I listened and I learned plenty. I wish I could learn more. Harris had a gift; a gift of time and knowledge gained over a life well lived. He also brought to the table quite literally, a passion I also shared, a curiously and appreciation for the unique and historical. We both believed these old dusty items could tell a story if you were just sensitive enough to listen, and boy did we try. I will miss my Tuesdays with Harris and the stories we shared. I will miss his Show-and-Tell. I will miss the kind man who became a very dear friend. He told me many times "never give up your passion for exploring and finding something interesting". Harris, I won't. Thank you, Harris, for your kind friendship and for sharing your knowledge and passion with me, you will be missed....and I will keep hunting. Godspeed. ~Brent

SOJO Coffee will be CLOSED Tuesday to celebrate and honor the life of our very dear friend Harris. This man has touched our lives in a beautiful way and we intend to be there when he is laid to rest. Please keep Janet and his family in your prayers. May you rest in peace and soar with the angels dear Harris....we will miss you, your stories and your show and tell. Tuesday mornings will be forever changed, but so are we, by knowing him. ❤️
