Good Afternoon All,
This email is being set by me, to all of my contacts in my email account, to make all of you aware of a scam that is going around Ocean County. I was recently called by a individual (1/23/2014) at 3:00pm that had represented himself as an agent of the IRS. When I called them back this morning at 8:00 am, I was told that I had a deficient account and owed $3000.00 to the IRS. I was told on this call as well that the IRS was filing papers in court and a warrant for my arrest was being issued as we speak. The sheriff’s department would be at my house, or job location to pick me up if this amount was not paid in full. Also that DMV and Social Security and the state of NJ would be contacted to withhold any and all payments, suspend any and all licenses I currently posse.
As the representative continued to speak he transferred me to his supervisor who wanted to work out a payment plan. He then told me that he would give me 30 minutes to contact anyone, to raise this money and he hung up.
