Finally a dry night in the northwoods. It's a little after midnight, and we're wondering if that was really coyotes...or just a bunch of punk kids acting stupid.

At the Laabstead, life is best when the tick problem is under control. Keeping the lawn mowed regularly and spraying the grassy area with a natural (safe for wildlife) deterrent helps with this. In spring of 2013, shortly after we first acquired the property....the ticks were having a party and we were a little freaked out. :-P
