The Lark, once part of the many barracks of Camp Gordon-Johnson--where the troupes trained for the Normandy invasion in 1943, is now our wonderful little vacation townhouse that we have decided we would like to make available for renting to our friends and family through FACEBOOK. Lanark Village has many amenities including a Boat Club, golf course, dog run and park, chapel, Gas station and quick mart, boat ramp, access to the water and docks, community center (Chillas Hall), and an American Legion Hall for social events. Additionally, Lanark is positioned between a wealth of recreational opportunities and destinations including Tates Hell State Forest, Apalachicola National Forest, Ochlockonee River/Bald Point State Parks, St. George Island State Park, St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, and others. City of Carrabelle features wonderful shops, bars, and restaurants, as well as providing cultural events and nice people. The Lark--our townhouse--sleeps up to 5 people--2 in the larger bedroom (queen bed), 1 in the little bedroom (twin bed), and up to 2 on the full size futon couch/bed in the living room. Of course, It has a fully equipped bathroom and kitchen as well as a private outdoor shower. Linens are provided. No TV, but wifi is included. We also provide beach supplies including umbrella, chairs, noodles, fishing poles, etc.).
