This morning, Mayor Sorace and representatives from Hamilton Watch unveiled the newly restored sidewalk clock that once graced Penn Square, now installed in Binns Park. This renewed icon is a symbol of Hamilton Watch's long history in Lancaster City, dating back to 1892.

Originally gifted to the City of Lancaster over 40 years ago, this clock stood in Penn Square until the square was renovated in the mid-2010's. After Hamilton opened its new flagship boutique in Lancaster in 2023, the company offered to restore the sidewalk clock as a symbol of its commitment to the community that Lancaster can enjoy for generations to come.

Get ready for an unforgettable afternoon at Lancaster’s first Freedom Jazz Festival! On June 21, 2025, from 3 PM to 7 PM, Binns Park will come alive with live jazz, the energy of local artists, and the delicious aromas of some of Lancaster’s favorite food trucks. The Freedom Jazz Festival is inspired by the spirit of Juneteenth, a time to reflect, celebrate, and uplift the spirit of freedom. This festival brings that energy through the power of music, culture, community, and joy.
