Once your scarecrow is finished and on display, take a photo with its name tag and upload it to the Trail of Scarecrows CrowdRiff Collector.

Your photo will be included on the voting form, giving visitors a chance to see your scarecrow when they’re choosing their favorite!

This year, you can enter your scarecrow in one of 10 fun categories:

And that's not all! During October, visitors will explore 15 communities across Fairfield County and vote for their favorite scarecrows. The People's Choice winner in each community will receive a $50 Visa gift card, sponsored by Visit Fairfield County.

🎃 How does the Trail of Scarecrows work?

It’s pretty simple:

1️⃣ Register your scarecrow
2️⃣ Create it
3️⃣ Place it outside your home or business
4️⃣ Add your voting flyer
5️⃣ Your scarecrow gets added to the digital trail
6️⃣ Visitors explore and vote for their favorites!

During October, visitors will travel to 15 communities across Fairfield County to find the scarecrows and cast their votes.

Pick up your laminated voting flyer at the Fairfield County Visitors Center, 128 N. Broad Street in Downtown Lancaster, during regular business hours:
Monday–Friday | 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Register now through September 30 and your scarecrow will be featured on the Visit Fairfield County Ohio Trail of Scarecrows digital map, helping visitors discover your display throughout October.

🇺🇸 This year’s theme is America250! Show off your creativity with a scarecrow inspired by American history, patriotism, hometown pride, traditions or the people and places that make your community special.

There’s more than one way to win! One scarecrow in each community will receive a $50 Visa gift card for the People’s Choice Award, sponsored by Visit Fairfield County.
