Safety around buggies is so important!

Did you know? Fillmore County is home to Minnesota’s largest Amish settlement, and horse-drawn buggies are a common part of everyday travel on roads in and around Lanesboro and throughout the county.

To help keep everyone safe, if you see a buggy on the road please slow down early when approaching, leave plenty of following distance and allow ample room when passing.

Buggies can also be more difficult to see around curves, over hills, at dusk or after dark, so staying alert and giving yourself extra time can make a meaningful difference.

And they are available Friday and Saturday.
