🚢 Kids Sail Free… but are they actually FREE? 👀

That’s the FIRST thing I check when I see one of these offers.

And while “free” can be a bit of a stretch (gratuities don’t disappear 😉), this is STILL a seriously good deal.

For example, gratuities are currently $18.50 per guest, per day — about $518 for a family of 4 on a 7-night sailing. So yes, you’re still paying something.
BUT…

✨ Kids’ cruise fare can be FREE�🍽️ So much food included�🎢 Incredible activities & entertainment�🏝️ Multiple destinations in one trip�👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Something for everyone - without having to plan every minute

And when you compare the overall cost of a family vacation? Royal Caribbean’s Kids Sail Free offers can be hard to beat.

Just remember: always read the fine print and look at the total vacation cost - not just the word “FREE.” 😉

One Disney World tip I wish more first-timers knew about: Rider Switch!!!

If you’re visiting with little ones who don’t meet the height requirement for a ride, you don’t necessarily have to skip the attraction or have one parent miss out completely.

With Rider Switch, one adult can stay with the little one(s) while the rest of your group rides. Then, when the first group is finished, the adults can switch, so the second adult gets a chance to ride without having to wait in the full line again. And it gets better, they don't have to ride alone; one additional guest who rode in the first group may join them! 🙌

It made such a difference for us when visiting with young kids. You can still enjoy the bigger attractions while making the day much easier (and less stressful!) for everyone.

✨ I always recommend reviewing the height requirements for all the rides/attractions to set realistic expectations for everyone in your party before your vacation!

Did you know my favorite park offers 4 festivals throughout the year?! 🌎✨

One of the things that makes EPCOT so unique is its festivals! Depending on when you visit, you may get to experience:

🌸 Flower & Garden Festival - gorgeous topiaries, beautiful gardens, outdoor kitchens, and all the springtime vibes! Look for this early March through the end of June.

🍽️ Food & Wine Festival - SO many delicious foods and drinks from around the world. Come hungry… and maybe plan to share! 😋 Enjoy this festival late August through late November.

🎄 Festival of the Holidays - holiday traditions from around the world, festive entertainment, seasonal treats, and the amazing Candlelight Processional. Late November through December.

🎨 Festival of the Arts - incredible artwork, creative food, live performances, and some of the most fun photo opportunities in the parks. Look for this mid-January through the end of February.

💡 First-timer tip: Don’t treat EPCOT like a park you have to “race through.” Give yourself time to wander, explore the World Showcase, stop for entertainment, try a few festival foods, and just enjoy the atmosphere. There are SO many little details that are easy to miss!

Here are some of the big announcements for rides and attractions!

🚘 6g Piston Peak is coming to Magic Kingdom! The new Cars-inspired expansion will bring guests into a larger-than-life world inspired by Pixar Animation Studios' Cars, complete with new attractions and immersive storytelling.

🖤 Villains Land just got even more wicked! New details were shared about this massive expansion, which will feature two major attractions, dining, shopping and immersive environments inspired by some of Disney's most iconic villains. The land will be comparable in scale and immersion to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.

🐍 Exciting updates were revealed for Disney's Animal Kingdom Including new details about the upcoming Encanto attraction, Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, and plans to bring the legendary Expedition Everest Yeti back to life.

👹 Monstropolis continues to take shape Fans got a new
look at the highly anticipated Monsters, Inc.-inspired expansion with the land including Harryhausen's restaurant and the "Welcome to Monstropolis" show opening in 2027! The door coaster attraction will open in a second phase at a later date.

💭 Dreamfinder is returning to EPCOT! One of the loudest
cheers of the night came when Disney announced
Dreamfinder will return alongside Figment in a reimagined Journey Into Imagination attraction.

💡a Carousel of Progress is getting an update as the beloved Disney classic will receive new scenes and storytelling elements while honoring its iconic legacy when it opens in late spring 2027.

🏰 Let's talk: Park Hopper debate! 🎢

✨ Park Hopper might be great if...

⭐️ You like flexibility.
⭐️ You want to bounce to another park for dinner or fireworks.
⭐️ You've been before and don't mind a faster-paced day.
⭐️ You're on a shorter trip and want to fit in as much as possible.

✨ One park per day might be better if...

⭐️ It's your first visit.
⭐️ You're traveling with younger kids.
⭐️ You prefer a slower, less stressful pace.
⭐️ You want time to really enjoy each park without feeling like you're racing the clock.

Of course, Park Hopper costs more, and switching parks takes time—but for some people, it's worth every penny. For others, staying in one park all day makes the vacation feel much more relaxing.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of Park Hopper! We love bouncing between our favorite parks, riding our must-do attractions, and grabbing our favorite snacks whenever the craving hits. 😍 It can even influence which resort you choose to stay at! 🫣
