Yesterday, Quintin and I spent time exploring Negril, looking beyond the beautiful accommodations and into the experiences that make a destination truly memorable.

Not because you have to...

But because you want to.

Yesterday was our first full day exploring the resort, taking in the atmosphere, and paying attention to all the little details that most travelers never get to see before they arrive.

As I continue scouting for the inaugural Love Jones Passport experience, I'm asking myself one simple question:

Today isn't just about a getaway—it's about preparation, exploration, and bringing a vision to life.

Over the next few days, Quintin and I will be experiencing Princess Senses The Mangrove firsthand as we finalize plans for the inaugural Love Jones Passport experience coming to Negril in March 2027.

From the resort and accommodations to the excursions, dining, and overall guest experience, we're taking a closer look at every detail to ensure it's everything we want it to be for our travelers.

One thing I've learned over the years is that the best travel experiences aren't just about where you go—they're about how you feel while you're there and the connections you make along the way.

If Tokyo is on your travel list, here are 5 things I’d absolutely tell first-time visitors after spending 6 days there:

Have some Japanese yen available—cash still matters in more places than you’d think.
Wear GOOD walking shoes. Tokyo will humble your step count 😂
Respect local etiquette. The culture is beautiful, and being a thoughtful visitor matters.
Bring a portable charger. Your phone becomes your lifeline.
Don’t overschedule yourself. Tokyo is incredible, but trying to “see everything” will wear you out.

Wheels down in Dallas. ❤️✈️

Home.

And yet… a piece of my heart is still somewhere in Japan.

After an unforgettable journey filled with beauty, culture, incredible food, meaningful moments, and some of the kindest people I’ve ever encountered, I’m back home with a full heart, a tired body, and a camera roll that needs its own vacation. 😂🇯🇵

Japan reminded me why I love travel so deeply.

Not just for the places we see… but for the people we meet. The moments that catch us off guard. The experiences that quietly change us.

Now excuse me while I fight jet lag, unpack approximately 47 chargers, and start sorting through all the memories I can’t wait to share with you. 🇯🇵✨

The sensory overload is REAL. Lights. People. Movement. Energy. Controlled chaos.

And somehow? I loved every second of it.

Tokyo is unlike anywhere I’ve ever been.

Tell me… could you handle this level of people? 👀

There are bidets… and then there are *BIDETS.* 🚽✨😂

Listen… I’ve seen some things while traveling, but the bidet situation at the Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo Spa deserves its own post. 🤣

I know some of my American friends are reading this thinking, *“A what now?”* 😂

A basic bidet usually gives you a few options:
Front wash. Rear wash. Stop.

Simple enough.

But Japan clearly said, *we don’t do basic.* 🇯🇵🍶

This luxury masterpiece had:
✔️ Adjustable water pressure
✔️ Adjustable water temperature
✔️ A built-in dryer
✔️ AND the lid automatically opened when I walked in 👀

Y’all… the TOILET greeted me. 😂🙌🏽

At that point, this is no longer a bathroom fixture. This is hospitality.

I’ve officially reached a level of travel where even the restroom has white-glove service. 🤣
