This recent article highlights the critical role helicopter operations play in Grand Canyon National Park—something we’re deeply proud to be a part of: https://www.reviewjournal.com/local/local-nevada/grand-canyon-sees-13-helicopter-rescues-in-1-week-3380093/
Since 1997, Papillon Helicopters has supported the National Park with essential flight operations, including search and rescue missions. It’s part of our greater mission to serve not just visitors, but the communities and public lands we fly over every day.
We’ve also provided search and rescue support to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks for the past five years—where some missions take place above 13,000 feet and require our crews to operate on supplemental oxygen. These efforts demand precision, endurance, and a deep commitment to safety and service.
To our dedicated team: thank you for going above and beyond. This work saves lives. 💛
Thirteen helicopter rescues have occurred over seven days at Grand Canyon National Park, the National Park Service said in a statement Sunday.
