Last month I shared that Little Explorer had made the Kind + Jugend Innovation Award shortlist. The jury has now decided.

We’re nominated.

One of five in the Moving & Travelling category, alongside Thule, Croozer, smarTrike and Flybaby, at the world’s leading trade fair for children’s products. Having an Australian brand on that lineup, with companies many times our size, is not something I pictured when this was still a sketch and a stack of failed prototypes.

The winner will be announced at the ceremony on 15 September in Cologne. Little Explorer will be in the Trend Space, Hall 11.2, across all three days of the fair.

What a whirlwind few months!

We’ve just wrapped an incredible exhibition season in the US. First at the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas with Iluka, followed by the TGA Show in Salt Lake City with Luis.

After the show we enjoyed a memorable road trip together through Utah and Arizona — the perfect way to recharge.

The feedback at both shows has been overwhelmingly positive. Huge interest from retailers, major brands, and investors, plus some exciting early collaboration conversations. It’s incredibly validating to see the SlumbaPak vision resonate so strongly in the US market.

A massive thank you to everyone we met — the energy and support has been fantastic.

We started SlumbaPak because we wanted to make long-haul travel better for families. But early on we asked ourselves — what kind of brand do we want to be?

The answer was simple. One that gives back.

A portion of every single SlumbaPak sale is donated to Save the Children Australia.

Because we believe the children who benefit from our product shouldn't be the only children we think about.

We're going back to Vegas. 🎰🇦🇺

A year ago SlumbaPak was a pre-production prototype. We packed it up, flew to Las Vegas, and showed it to the travel industry at the TGA Travel Goods Show.

They voted it the product parents most wanted to exist and gave us the People's Choice Award before we'd sold a single unit.

Since then: our first ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas, Kind und Jugend in Germany, the Reed Gift Fair in Sydney. Four countries. One obsession.

Now we're heading back to where it all started.
