This week’s post is all about Zeke, the newest addition to the Escape Adventures team. Though he just came on board last summer, you'd think he's been at it for decades! We are so grateful to have him as one of our trip leaders. 🚵‍♂️

Zeke grew up in Wisconsin, where he started riding and working on bikes at an early age. After high school, he moved to Grand Junction, Colorado and got his Bachelor’s in Outdoor Recreation Industry Studies. He is also a certified EMT! 🩺

Zeke is a wizard on a bike, and has ridden some of the most extreme trails in the states—including The White Line and the new Hardline in Sedona.

Aside from biking, he enjoys rock climbing, ice climbing, and riding motorcycles. 🧗‍♂️🏍️ He’s even spent time as a sea kayak guide on Lake Superior! Recently, he returned from a winter stint working at a bike shop in Hawaii.

This week, it’s all about Austin! This will be his 3rd season leading multi-day tours with Escape Adventures and we are super pleased to have him on our team! 🚵‍♂️

Austin is a certified Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician (WEMT) originally hailing from the Pacific Northwest. An avid outdoorsman, he loves skiing and hiking just as much as he loves riding his bike. ⛷️🌲

Before he found us at Escape, he led wilderness bear tours in Alaska by bush plane! He also enjoys spending time in Mexico, and has visited over 50 times (including a successful motocamping trip on the Baja Divide).

Austin has a genuine passion for backcountry adventures and it shows. You’d be lucky to have him as a guide on your next tour!

This week, the spotlight is on Gavin! 🌟 Mr. Gavin truly brings joy, laughter, and hospitality to his tours. He’s so kind and such a pleasure to be around—which makes him the fantastic guide that he is.

Hailing from Boise, Gavin grew up in an outdoorsy household, and started climbing, biking 🚴‍♂️, and running rivers at an early age. He worked for a bicycle rental shop in Grand Canyon Village before joining our team.

This will be Gavin’s 4th season with us (and boy do we all miss him this off-season! 😢) We hope you have the chance to experience a tour with him soon!

The Black Crack is one of Canyonlands' wildest geological wonders — a sandstone fissure over 65 feet deep, 3 feet wide, and stretching 1,700 feet long. Carved by time through natural erosion and faulting, it’s an epic stop on Day 3 of our White Rim Trail tour.⁠
