David Goldrake named Magician of the Year

International illusionist and Las Vegas headliner David Goldrake has been named Magician of the Year, receiving the prestigious Merlin Award for the second time in his career in recognition of his contributions to the art of magic and illusion.
Presented by the International Magicians Society, the Merlin Award recognizes excellence in performance, originality, and innovation within the world of magic. Throughout its history, the award has honored many of the industry's most celebrated performers, including Siegfried & Roy and David Copperfield.
For David Goldrake, the recognition marks another milestone in a career that has taken him to audiences in more than 50 countries. His work has been seen by royalty, international celebrities, Fortune 500 companies, and millions of television viewers worldwide. Known for blending grand illusion with theatrical storytelling,
David Goldrake has built an international reputation for creating performances that are as elegant as they are impossible.
Most recently, David Goldrake concluded his acclaimed Las Vegas residency, An Evening of Grand Illusion, where audiences experienced a production that seamlessly combined grand illusion, intimate sleight of hand, and the only Water Torture Cell escape presented on the Las Vegas Strip, all delivered with the sophistication and theatricality that have become his signature.
