Robert George Allen - Born Chicago, IL

He had his first paranormal encounter at the age of seven when he received a late night visit from his dead uncle. This sparked a lifelong interest in the paranormal. He read every book in the library on the subject. His uncle had passed away before he was born. After high school (Carl Schurz High School) he joined a rock band and toured the nation as a guitarist. He was still interested in ghosts and was given the nickname "Spookie" by his band mates. He branched out into show business becoming an actor in such films as "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" (1998) and "The Runner" ( 1999). In 2004 he produced the Haunted Vegas Tours that received high marks. It would be listed as one of the top ten ghost tours in the nation. He expanded it to Vegas Mob Tour and the Goodsprings Ghost Hunt. He wrote of his investigations in a book "The Adventures of a Ghost Stalker" (2013). It tells of his investigations in South America and Dracula's Castle in Eastern Europe. He has helped ghost researcher Janice Oberding at Tonopah, NV and other sites. He put on the first Paracon in Las Vegas in 2004. For his entertaining and educational tours and talks he deserves to be listed on the Ghost Hunters Hall of Fame. “Must do for anyone interested in Vegas and The Outfit”

5 Star TripAdvisor Review - Frank Cullotta's Casino Tour
This is truly something for everybody to enjoy. Frank and Robert are so personable and down to earth fun people to speak with. ANYONE would enjoy spending time with them. If you have seen the movie Casino, Frank is The REAL DEAL who lived and participated in the story of the movie. We got to see many of the places where scenes of the movie were filmed and/or the real places where the actual events of the movie took place including Bertha's Jewelry store where it all came to an end. The movie house on the golf course where Ace Rothstein (Lefty Rosenthal) lived and also one of the residences of Tony Spilotro. If you are a Chicago Outfit enthusiast from the 60's to the 90's, Frank can also fill you in on the different leaders who ran the organization and the "hows" and the "whys" things happened as they did. SIMPLY GREAT.

"The Real Frank Cullotta"

We took the Frank Cullotta Casino tour and were completely surprised. After a great private tour of the Mob Museum we had a champagne toast with our host Robert then got on the bus. Robert was witty and fun and got us all in the mood to meet Mr. Cullotta. On the bus he played a video of a meeting between Frank and Nicholas Pileggi (the author of the book CASINO). Pileggi raved about how helpful and important Cullotta had been to the book and the movie and how invaluable he was to have on the movie set. It was a great testimonial. Then Robert introduced Frank who climbed on the bus and said, "Hello everyone and thanks for taking my tour." We were surprised at how approachable and friendly he was. I guess we thought meeting a former mobster would be scary, but it wasn't. He proceeded to take us around Las Vegas and show us various sites where he and his "Hole in The Wall Gang" did their nasty deeds. He made no apologies for what he had done in the past but said he was much happier in his current life now. We then went to a pizza parlor that was once a mob hangout and got to "break bread" with Robert and Frank. We also had the chance to buy his books as well as and get his autograph. This tour is a one of a kind experience and was an evening my wife and I will never forget. I mean how many chances do you get to meet a real former mobster, in person and get his perspective on what really happen back in the day! BTW Frank is also an ordained minister and marries people in Sin City. "Only in Vegas Baby."

GHOST QUESTS INTERVIEW WITH ROBERT GEORGE ALLEN -5/23/2015

Ghost Quests: You have been an entertainer in Las Vegas since 1975. How did you get involved in the ghost business?
Robert: I was raised in an Italian family and just about everyone in my family had a ghost story. It was very normal to sit around the dinner table and listen to my aunts, uncles and grandparents describe their ghost encounters. When I went on the road, in the early sixties, as a musician/vocalist, our band stayed and played in some very old hotels and night clubs many of which had a resident ghost or two. I would set out ghost hunting with my dowsing rods and my Instamatic camera. I was fascinated by the possibility of paranormal activity and I am still fascinated with its' existence today.

Ghost Quests: When did you start your ghost tours in Las Vegas?
Robert: I was doing stand-up comedy in the show Splash, at the soon to be imploded, Rivera Hotel & Casino. After over 30 years of performing in Las Vegas shows I decided to retire from performing. So in 2003 I stepped down from the stage and started looking around for my next adventure. I spent about a year hanging out with friends, reading and doing a lot of traveling. While vising San Diego, CA, I went on a ghost tour and the idea of opening a ghost tour in a Las Vegas appealed to me. In 2004, with the help of paranormal author Janice Oberding, The Haunted Vegas Tour was born. The tour was very successful and is still our best selling tour. In 2005 The Vegas Mob Tour was created followed by The Goodsprings Ghost Hunt in 2012. Our most recent endeavors are the Ghosts & Gangsters Tour and Frank Cullotta's CASINO tour.
