TRAVEL UPDATE!!

As of February 22, 2026, the Department of Homeland Security is suspending TSA PreCheck and Global Entry nationwide because of the partial government shutdown.

If you have PreCheck or Global Entry, you may not be able to use the expedited security lanes right now. That likely means longer lines and going through standard screening.

This went into effect Sunday at 6 a.m. ET and is tied directly to the current funding lapse. DHS says it’s to manage staffing and resources during the shutdown.

A couple things to note:
• It’s unclear if new enrollments or renewals are fully paused.
• If you are traveling soon, I’d recommend arriving earlier than usual and preparing for standard security lines just in case.
