GRAND CANYON
One of the seven natural wonders of the world.
Located in northern Arizona, the Grand Canyon is known throughout the world for its size and colorful landscape.
Measuring over 270 miles long, up to 18 miles wide and a mile deep, the canyon’s walls contain rock layers that reveal a timeline of Earth’s history.
It has been a locale for human use and occupation for millennia, with ruins and artifacts from inhabitants dating back nearly 12,000 years,
In the early 1800s, trappers and expeditions sent by the U.S. government began to explore and map the canyon.
It was first afforded Federal protection in 1893 as a Forest Reserve and later a National Monument, achieving National Park status in 1919.
Today Grand Canyon National Park encompasses more than 1 million acres of land and receives close to 5 million visitors each year.
SKYWALK
A Super Strong U Shaped Platform you stand on with a Glass floor that extends out 70 feet past the rim of the canyon
allowing an awesome & unique view of the 4,000 foot drop to the Colorado River on the Canyon floor, unlike any other.
Straight in front of you is a 3 mile stretch across. It is the highest man-made structure in the world
Opened to the general public since March 28, 2007,
Able to support the weight of 71 fully loaded Boeing 747 airplanes and sustain winds in excess of 100 miles per hour,
the Skywalk is an engineering first, passing engineering requirements and specifications by 400 percent.
A Maximum of 120 visitors are allowed on the bridge at a time.
The walls and floor are built from four inch thick glass so clear visitors could think they're walking on clouds.
Visitors are provided with shoe covers to prevent the glass floor from being scratched.

The architects and engineers set out to create a structure that would balance well with the natural surroundings of the Canyon,
as well as protect the values held by the Hualapai. The West Rim of the Grand Canyon used to average approximately 200 visitors per day.
Since the grand opening of the Skywalk, that number has risen to a staggering 2,000 visitors daily.
