Insider travel agent news: the Dominican Republic just welcomed a fresh new luxury all-inclusive — W Punta Cana by Marriott.

Early advisor reviews say this adults-only resort brings a more elevated W vibe, with all-suite accommodations, great dining, wellness, pools, and a beach that feels a little more untouched. Like any resort, it will not be for everyone — but for the right couple or group of friends, it could be a fabulous new Punta Cana option.

Everyone dreams of the Amalfi Coast, but some of my favorite travel experiences happen just beyond the famous hotspots.

Instead of Amalfi, consider Cilento in Southern Italy — the same stunning coastline, charming villages, incredible food, and crystal-clear waters, but with fewer crowds and often at a fraction of the price.

The same idea applies throughout Europe:
• Instead of Santorini, try Naxos or Paros in Greece.
• Instead of Dubrovnik, explore Rovinj, Croatia.
• Instead of Paris, spend time in Strasbourg or Annecy, France.
• Instead of Barcelona, discover Valencia, Spain.

Sometimes the best travel memories are made in the places that haven't gone viral yet. ❤️

Just south of Amalfi, Cilento offers ancient temples, a pristine coastline, and the best mozzarella in Italy—and visiting is a fraction of the cost.

Travel Agent Tip: When checking into a hotel, kindly ask if a complimentary upgrade is available. If the hotel has open rooms, they may offer a better view, larger room, or nicer location. It never hurts to ask politely!

There is something truly special about exploring Europe by river.

This photo was taken on the Sun Deck of AmaPrima with AmaWaterways — the perfect reminder of why river cruising is such a beautiful way to travel. You unpack once, settle in, and let the charming towns, historic castles, rolling vineyards, and storybook scenery come to you.

River cruises are relaxed, scenic, and wonderfully immersive — with smaller ships, easy access to the heart of each destination, curated excursions, and plenty of time to enjoy the journey, not just the stops along the way.

Some of the top river cruise companies include Viking River Cruises, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, AmaWaterways, Scenic, and Tauck — each with its own style, level of inclusions, and personality.

If Europe is on your travel wish list, a river cruise may be one of the most effortless and memorable ways to experience it.

Heading to Paris for the first or second time? Where you stay matters more than most people realize.
Paris is divided into 20 arrondissements that spiral out from the center like a snail's shell — the 1st sits right in the heart, and the numbers climb as you move outward. Each one has its own personality, and the right choice can shape your entire trip.

A few of the most-loved neighborhoods:
1st – The center of everything. The Louvre, the Tuileries Garden, and a short walk to nearly every icon. Hard to beat for a first visit.
6th (Saint-Germain-des-Prés) – Classic Left Bank charm. Café culture, Luxembourg Gardens, and quiet, beautiful streets where Hemingway and Sartre once lingered.
7th – Eiffel Tower views, the Musée d'Orsay, and elegant residential blocks. Open your curtains in the morning and there she is.
4th (Le Marais) – Trendy, historic, packed with great food and boutiques. Wonderful for a second visit when you're ready for a more local feel.
8th – Champs-Élysées, Arc de Triomphe, and luxury shopping along Avenue Montaigne. Grand and glamorous.
5th (Latin Quarter) – Bookish, lively, and rich with history. A fun, often more budget-friendly choice.

My honest take: for a first or second trip, base yourself in the 1st, 6th, or 7th. You'll be walking distance to most of the icons, you'll save yourself a lot of metro time, and you'll get to slow down and actually feel the city.

Montmartre (the 18th) is romantic and absolutely worth a visit — but I rarely recommend it as a hotel base. It's farther from the main sights than people realize, and parts of it can feel a little rough after dark.
If you'd like help choosing the right neighborhood AND the right hotel for the Paris trip you're picturing, let's talk. ❤️
