NEW EPISODE IS LIVE!! 🎣🔥

Cavy Fishing came and stayed onboard Walu with us for a couple of weeks and, as you’d expect, things got pretty loose. 😂

Land-based fishing, new Cavy gear getting absolutely tested, epic fish, plenty lost, plenty of laughs and just good times exploring Fiji with someone who loves fishing as much as we do.

This is the first fishing episode from our time together — plenty more to come!

Out here in the middle of nowhere catching up with our friend Chad Kockott from OceanSouldiers and it’s only Day 1.

Huge surf n turf dinner last night over the fire, then straight onto the beasts today. Not a bad way to get this party started.

And somehow my trusty VanStaal hung in there for another round. 😂💪🏽

This is SOL, the ultimate fishing frothin big wave charger there is!! Wrestled up this nice fish that have so many names.... purple rock cod, blue maori cod, cattledog cod, and blue speckled grouper!! What is it? Haha yewwwww

Our anchor winch hasn’t worked for over a month… but we haven’t let that slow us down. 😂🤙🏽

We’re still exploring, just a little more selective about where we drop the hook knowing someone has to hand-crank around 30m of chain back onboard!

Usually that someone is Dad… but this time we were sitting in a shallow, glassy bay with absolutely no wind and Nelson volunteered for the job. For once I got to stand back, grab the camera and enjoy watching someone else crank it up. 😂

And the last few seconds pretty much sum up boat life — dragging our desalination pre-filters behind Walu to give them a clean.

Work smarter, not harder. 😂

nelson eigenmann and Sol with a Spanish mackerel caught this morning right behind Walu. Just another morning out here doing what they love.

There are plenty of highs and lows, laughs and cries, wins and losses… but through all of it, the shining light is the experiences these boys are having and the lessons they’re learning along the way — plenty of them the hard way. 😂

Wouldn’t trade it. Yewwww! 🌊🎣
