Wouldn’t you love to set out on an adventure to explore the best of what England and Scotland has to offer and to also strengthen your faith as you discover your spiritual heritage in these countries where early Christianity took root? I think I just saw some polar bears playing in the church ball field. Just kidding!!😅 But they wouldn’t be out of place in this arctic weather we are shivering to🥶. Something that warms me up is when I think about the big bus trip this summer as we head out West. It looks like a few spots will be opening up. Here is some information:

Travel Bug Christian Tours is heading in a Westerly direction this summer where we will visit the St. Louis Arch, take a ride on a Mississippi River boat; enjoy a front row concert as the very talented Aaron Bryan joins us on the bus in Nashville; explore the best that Branson, MO has to offer including the world class performance of “David” at the Sight & Sound Theater; spend a night in the world’s largest Bass & Pro Shop which is inside a giant pyramid along the banks of the mighty Mississippi River in Memphis, TN; visit the world’s largest vintage motorcycle and race car museum in Birmingham, AL; be transported back to the time of the New Testament where the Bible will come to life and where we will eat a meal very much like Jesus shared with His disciples, and the list goes on…

The dates are June 9th-14, 2025. The cost is $1,175 which includes deluxe motor coach transportation, first rate hotels (the hotel inside the Bass Pro Shop is world class!), breakfasts, some dinners, all attractions and shows. If you are interested please send me a message.

There are still some spots available for the day trip to the Appalachian Mountains of Georgia where we will enjoy a private tour of a Renaissance castle, and then explore a charming Alpine village.

Here are some details: The name of the castle is Uhuburg. It is nestled up in the mountains and the views from its towers and turrets are simply amazing! This is a five star rated attraction on TripAdvisor.

After we leave the castle we will take a short drive to the bustling Bavarian themed village of Helen set against a scenic backdrop of mountains, forests and river banks. You may very well feel as though you’ve been transported to the cobblestone streets of Germany’s famed Bamberg as colorful shops dot the landscape and the heavenly aroma of authentic German fare takes to the breeze. You will have plenty of time to find a great place for lunch and then to shop and sightsee.

When? April 10 (it’s a Thursday). We leave at 7:30am and return by 7:30pm.

Cost? $120 which includes deluxe motor-coach transportation and private tour of the castle.

It is first come, first served. You can reserve your seat on the bus by paying the $100 deposit via Cash App ($Mpost1997) or Venmo

I’d like to invite you to join me on a day bus trip to the Appalachian Mountains of Georgia where we will enjoy a private tour of a Renaissance castle, and then explore a charming Alpine village.

This message is for those going on the Branson, MI trip in June 2025: Some didn’t receive the suggested payment schedule when they paid their deposit. I am including a picture of it here. We are asking everyone to have paid at least $350 (including deposit) by January 17th. These payments help us pay for reservations to the hotels and various attractions. You can pay by Venmo or Cash App, write a check to Michael Post and mail it to 103 Lucas Ave Laurens, SC 29360 or drop the check or cash off at the church at 101 Lucas Ave. Send me a message if you have any questions. I came across this fun display while Christmas shopping with Connie last night. It’s all about London which made me think about the trip to England (and Scotland & optional Ireland) next Fall. I have always wanted to see and visit the famous landmarks of London including Big Ben, the Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the Crown Jewels and so forth!

I am going to randomly pick a name from those who have registered for the trip this Thursday (the 12th) and mail them a tin of shortbread cookies for Christmas. I really shouldn’t say anything yet because I don’t have all the arrangements locked down but I can’t wait!🤭

I am planning a bus trip that will include a visit to a Renaissance Castle and to an Alpine village. Here is a description of each place:

Castle - with castle walls to wander and towers to climb we will spend a few hours exploring this beautiful Renaissance castle nestled up in the mountains.

Village - a bustling alpine village set against a scenic backdrop of mountains, forests and river banks, you’ll feel as though you’ve been transported to the cobblestone streets of Germany’s famed Bamberg as colorful shops dot the landscape and the heavenly aroma of authentic German fare takes to the breeze.

We will do all of this in the course of a day! I am looking at a Saturday in April. More details will be released in the next month.
