Pari-Mutuel Racing & Indian Relay Races at the Eastern Idaho State Fair! 🐎🐎

4 race days • 9/6 • 9/7 • 9/11 • 9/12
Begins at noon
$5 entry

Each day has 7-10 Pari-Mutuel Races with 3-5 Indian Relay National Championship Races held after the 4th, 6th, and 8th Pari-Mutuel Races

🐎 Pari-Mutuel Racing is a betting system in which all bets are placed together in a pool and shared among all winning bettors. Must be 18+ to participate.

🐎 Indian Relay Races includes riders exchanging horses mid-race, a sport which originated here with Shoshone-Bannock Tribes.

There is a bonus Indian Relay Race day on Thurs 9/10 at noon that is FREE entry!

Where back-to-school would have happened in 1896 🏫

This small log and wood frame schoolhouse in Georgetown, Idaho (between Soda Springs and Bear Lake) still stands over 125 years after being built.

When it wasn't a schoolhouse, it served as a local chapel and general meeting hall. It has been renovated and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. 📜

🕰️ Step back in time to the American frontier with live actors and historical exhibits at The National Oregon/California Trail Center in Montpelier, Idaho.

Discover more about the 2000-mile, 5-month journey many pioneers took along the Oregon Trail 🛞

In addition to exhibits and displays, there is a 99-seat state-of-the-art theatre styled after an 1860s playhouse inside the trail center.

🪿 The Blue Goose was originally built in 1892 as a Post Office and furniture store.

It was later relocated to the town park in Samaria, Idaho to save it from being torn down.

🍦 Today it serves as a social hub of Samaria with an ice cream parlor, confectionery, tavern, and pool hall.
