Check out this AirBnB in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, in the heart of bourbon country!!! We're Chris and Tammy from Waterloo, Illinois and we absolutely love bourbon and traveling to the Bourbon Trail! We explore distilleries, do barrel picks, and enjoy all of the laid-back goodness and friendliness that Kentucky has to offer! Chris loves organizing group trips to Kentucky and loves exploring different

towns in Kentucky. From finding the best bourbon bars to planning the distillery tours, Chris has done it all and loves sharing his passion with others! We own a brewery in our hometown of Waterloo, Illinois and have labeled ourselves as "a brewery with a bourbon problem". We're taking our "bourbon problem" one step further, and purchased a home in the heart of bourbon country! We wanted to get in the AirBnB/VRBO business in Bourbon Country, and Lawrenceburg is the perfect town for our rental home! Lawrenceburg is conveniently located 5 minutes from Wild Turkey, 10 minutes from 4 Roses Distillery, 20 minutes to Woodford Reserve and 25 minutes from Buffalo Trace Distillery (talk about a GREAT location for doing the Bourbon Trail!!). It reminds us of our hometown of Waterloo, IL in that there is so much to do (parks, car shows, Food Truck Fridays, festivals, etc.) Lawrenceburg is located 1 hour East of Louisville, 40 minutes West of Lexington, and 5 hours from Waterloo, Illinois (near St. Louis, MO). If you're traveling to the bourbon trail, especially with a group, this is the perfect place for you to stay. We would love to host you!

If only Facebook had scratch and sniff! This is a picture of the outdoor beer well at Buffalo Trace, which is a huge temporary holding tank between the fermenter and the still. Before the fermented mash goes in the still, it goes in the beer well, and it smells amazing!! Buffalo Trace is only 15 miles from our house, and we always recommend stopping there, even if it's just to visit the gift shop!

When Chris was at Larrikin Bourbon Company, a regular there suggested they try out Ricardo's Grill & Pub in Versailles (which is 15 min away from our house). They had a great time and enjoyed awesome food. Ricardo's is near Woodford Reserve so if you're on your way to Woodford from our house, this would be a great stop for lunch or dinner!

Chris (front and center) loves taking groups of friends on the Bourbon Trail, it's the main reason we bought a house with a great location on the Trail! If you need recommendations on which distilleries to visit or where to eat, he's happy to do so if you're staying with us! Sometimes a well planned out vacation can make it more enjoyable.

Side note: if Chris recommends the fried jalapenos at La Isla Mexican Restaurant, maybe don't take his advice unless you want something REALLY spicy.

One place we always recommend visiting is Larrikin Bourbon Company!!!

It's 1.7 miles away from our house and it's open an hour later than most places, so it's a great stop on your way back to the house.

Larrikin Hours:
Tuesday - Saturday : 10am - 6pm
Sunday : 12pm - 6pm

You can stop by and do a tasting without a reservation. We always have a good time when we go there!
