As of April 10, 2025, U.S. citizens now need a visa to enter Brazil, ending years of visa-free travel.

What to know:
• Apply online before your trip
• Show proof of at least $2,000
(bank statements or pay stubs)
• Visa fee: ~$81
• Valid for 10 years
• Allows multiple 90-day visits
• Proof of onward travel
• Proof of accommodation

Brazil says the change is about reciprocity, since Brazilians still need visas to visit the U.S.
