First Love began as a cry out of the hearts of Dave and Tina Wagner after their youngest son, Joel Jonathon Wagner graduated to Heaven at the age of three on February 15, 2008, after fighting a rare blood disease for most of his life. During Joel’s illness, they began to experience Jesus and the reality of His Kingdom in new ways. Four months after Joel’s Heavenly Graduation, the Heavens opened ab
ove the Wagner’s home and they, along with seven others, witnessed the dancing and rejoicing of Joel, Tina’s mom and angels all night long. It became their desire to create times of corporate worship in complete freedom as witnessed in the Heavens, and to experience His Kingdom with all peoples, regardless of denomination or church experience. Through this desire, First Love was born. Revelation 2:4
First Love is not a church and therefore we do not meet on Sundays. We consider ourselves a para church; coming along side the church as the body of Christ. We typically hold monthly gatherings that include events such as conference speakers, educational/equipping workshops and art sessions.
