We are devastated by the recent floods in Nepal and the loss and destruction they have caused. We are incredibly grateful that all of our staff are safe, although many have friends and family who have been directly affected. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families and friends of those who have lost their lives, and to everyone whose homes, livelihoods and communities have been impacted.
At this time, all of our treks in Nepal remain open with the exception of the Langtang Valley and Gosaikunda treks. More time is needed to assess the condition of the road to Syabrubesi, the starting point for these treks, and we will provide updates as we learn more.
We deeply appreciate the outpouring of support and concern we have received from friends and guests around the world.

While in the past we may have been hesitant to recommend donating directly to a government relief fund, we have confidence in the current leadership and believe contributions will reach the people and communities that need them most. Donating directly also helps ensure that as much assistance as possible reaches Nepal without the administrative costs associated with larger international relief organizations.
The Nepali people are incredibly strong and resilient. Communities here have overcome immense challenges before, and we have no doubt they will come together, rebuild and bounce back again. Every little bit of help goes a long way, and even a small contribution can make a meaningful difference to those who have lost so much.
As always, the safety of our guests and staff remains our highest priority. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and make any necessary adjustments to our trekking operations.
