Going underground. 🕳️

During the Vietnam War, the Viet Cong built over 250 miles of tunnels beneath the jungle outside Saigon, soldiers lived, cooked, planned, and fought down here, sometimes for years at a time.
It’s an incredible feat of engineering. It’s also a hard place, the fighting that happened here was brutal on both sides, and that’s part of the history too, not just a footnote.

We don’t take a moment like this lightly. It’s one of the ones we’ll carry with us from this research trip.
