I'm sure during this crazy hot summer, you've seen reports of river cruising in Europe having lots of hassles maneuvering with low water. Yes, that is true and yes it is causing problems. However, the news does not report that some companies who really prioritize the clients and their experience are very creative and making it so the guests are being treated very well. (Those are the companies I book!) Many guests' experience may not be exactly what they planned on, but they are still going to have a wonderful time on the ship and a wonderful time in all those small towns along the rivers. The locals are ready to showcase their beautiful countryside and extend lovely hospitality.

My clients who are headed over right this minute are going to have some really neat experiences despite some low water issues.

Other times of the year, high water can be an issue, so that is the reality of cruising the rivers!
