Let me tell you a story about one of the moments that cemented my love of Disney World forever.
It was our first ever trip to Disney, and I had HIGH expectations. I had been dreaming of visiting Disney World my entire life, and I was a little worried it wouldn't live up to what I had built it to be in my head.
We had just checked into our resort (Caribbean Beach Resort - still one of our favorites!) and we stopped by the quick service restaurant to grab ourselves some lunch before we explored.
I grabbed a table with the kids while my husband worked on getting our food and before we even chose a table, a sweet cast member walked up and handed us this Rice Krispy treat. He said, "Have a magical day!", gave us a big smile, and went back to work.
I was stunned. Truly. It was such a little gesture, but I still get teary thinking about how special that moment was for my kids - it was immediately clear to all of us that this place was so special, and we were in for an experience like nothing we had ever had before!
Needless to say, our first trip managed to far EXCEED my expectations. We'll never stop going to Disney for our family vacations, and it's because of moments exactly like this one. The rides are great, and we love the food and the characters. But the true magic is in how much each and every person there cares about their guests and how special they make the experience from start to finish!
