It’s simple: Lebanon, and the Heart of Kentucky, have what visitors and tourists want...things to see, do and experience.
Here at the Lebanon Tourist and Convention Commission we promote our tourist community's attractions and services to draw and assist tourists/visitors who want to visit and experience the Heart of Kentucky.
More simply put...you can come here and have fun, be entertained, and eat, drink and be merry. And you can stay as long as you want.
Within our tourism community are Maker's Mark and Limestone Branch Distillery, highlights of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour. Also located in Lebanon is Independent Stave, a subsidiary of Independent Stave Company, which makes the barrels used in the bourbon industry. Wonderful organized and professionally guided tour experiences are available at each of those locations.
More simply put...some of the best in Kentucky’s bourbon-themed travel is located right here, in one, easy-to-get-around place. Altogether those three create what we call our Marion County Trail experience--and what an experience it is. Some of the best bourbon-theme experiences available, and to top it off, see where the bourbon industry’s barrels are built and charred with flames.
There are also wonderful dining experiences and unique shopping opportunities within our tourism community--and we heavily promote those, as well.
And there are additional attractions we promote--other things to see and do and experience while here. Including our Civil War heritage; our Quilt Trail; our murals which grace the community; the City of Lebanon’s state-of-the-art Graham Memorial Park with its sports facilities and indoor swimming pool; our community’s facilities such as the Marion County Library, which offers visitor services; our serene National Cemetery; our outdoor experiences at places such as Fagan Branch Reservoir and its Gorley Trail; and places such as the Loretto Motherhouse, which offers a variety of visitor experiences, including its world-class Heritage Museum.
And how about our festivals? Ham Days, the annual Marion County Music Fest, and more.
And how about our arts? Our Kentucky Classic Arts at state-of-the-art Centre Square and Angelic Hall offers, each year, a full annual calendar of events, classes, productions, dramas music and more.
There’s much to keep up with.
