This Memorial Day, we remember and honor the courageous heroes who sacrificed their lives in service to our country and the freedom. 🇺🇸✨

As part of Boone 250 and the nationwide America 250 commemoration, Boone County has been honoring its Revolutionary War patriots through a meaningful series of wreath-laying ceremonies held at historic cemeteries across the county.

So far this year, several ceremonies have already taken place, recognizing local patriots laid to rest right here in Boone County, Indiana. These moments of remembrance connect our community’s past to the present in a powerful way.

There are still opportunities to take part:
• June 4, 2026 – Lane, Mt. Runn, and Wheatley Cemeteries
• June 24, 2026 – Boone County Courthouse Square

These final ceremonies continue the tribute to the men whose service helped shape our nation and the freedoms we honor today.
