🌟250 SEMIQUINCENTENNIAL COMMEMORATION of AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE 🌟

In celebration of America’s 250th birthday, a special program will be held at the Veterans Memorial at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on June 6th.

The program begins at 10 AM and will include a history of the NCA and a reading of the Gettysburg Address by Abraham Lincoln (portrayed by actor Larry Sheaf). 📜

An Open House will also be held at the Fort Indiantown Gap Military Post next to the cemetery starting at 11 AM 🏛️

Gretna Music is kicking off its 2026 Summer Concert Series in June! 🎻🎶🎷

For 51 years, they’ve created unforgettable musical experiences under the trees in an open-air covered pavilion. Mount Gretna, home of the Pennsylvania Chautauqua, is located just a short drive from Lebanon, Lancaster, Hershey, and Harrisburg.

This year's lineup has a rich mix of performances by celebrated string quartets, solo pianists, jazz artists and dynamic world musicians!

📜 History Happens Here - Fort Zeller located in Newmanstown, PA

Fort Zeller is one of the few and rare remaining examples of Germanic Architecture in the Western Hemisphere. It is also Pennsylvania's oldest existing fort!

Settlers who came to the Tulpehocken from the Schoharie Valley in New York State built it in 1723 as a log house. It was later rebuilt in 1745 by Heinrich Zeller. The Zeller family, their neighbors, and the Pennsylvania militia used the dwelling as a place of refuge and defense against Native American Indian raids during the French and Indian War (1754-1763).

The structure was built into a bank over an ever-flowing spring, one that flows naturally from the bedrock into a creek from an arched opening in the basement. The spring provided fresh drinking water and provided a naturally cool area for storage.

Fort Zeller has been used as a Zeller family gathering place for more than 200 years! That's amazing!

Tickets are still available!

Make plans to attend the 30th Anniversary of Taste of the Trail next Saturday, June 6 from 1-4pm. The event kicks off at the Lebanon Valley Expo Center Trail Entrance at 80 Rocherty Road, Lebanon. Enjoy food tasting and beverage sampling at 1pm followed by a Fun Run at 3pm.

🍷🍺Vendors will give you a taste of what the locals of the Lebanon Valley and beyond enjoy! Samplings for a variety of palettes are sure to please. Must be 21 or over to sip wine and beer selections.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️Maybe you just feel like running ... In order to participate, grab a sponsorship and raise $100. All runners get a Taste of the Trail Fun Run T-shirt! Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 finishers in categories of Ages 16+ and 15 and under.
