There are very few places in the world I want to visit over and over again. Paris is one of them.

No matter how many times I see the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night, it still feels like magic.

And I’m so excited that I’ll be back again soon.

Some places you check off the list. Paris is a place I’ll keep coming back to.

Money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy lounge access and a martini, and I think we’re really splitting hairs at that point.

There are few things I love more than starting a trip with nowhere to be except my gate and absolutely no intention of going there until boarding.

Airport math is different math.

Did lounge access cost money? Yes.
Did the martini cost money? Technically also yes.
Did sitting somewhere quiet with a drink while everyone else fights for an outlet at the gate improve my happiness considerably?

Absolutely.

I don’t make the rules. I just travel accordingly.

Texture can tell you everything about a place before you ever step inside.

At the Meliá resorts in the Dominican Republic, I kept finding myself drawn to the details instead of the big views. The weave of a headboard. The grain of the wood. A patterned tile floor. The way the Caribbean light hits a wall at exactly the right angle.

Because every resort has its own design language, and if you pay attention, it tells you exactly how that place is meant to feel.

Quiet and restorative. Romantic. Celebratory. Family-focused. Effortlessly luxurious.

That’s why I always say luxury isn’t a price point. It’s a feeling. And sometimes you can understand that feeling from a single close-up before you’ve even seen the whole room.

It’s the first day of school here and while I don’t post the kids publicly, the puppies get their first day photos too. So while I’m wildly emotional over my mini’s last first day of high school, please enjoy the (second) photo where we shouted BONE and then watched the dogs lose their cool.
