I realized that I have a ton of photos on my phone that I haven’t uploaded here, so here come the photo dumps!

Last year, I went to several of the prettiest resorts I have ever seen. A gem among them is multi award winning luxury resort, Hotel Esencia.

Located between Playa del Carmen and Tulum, Mexico it’s easy to access via Cancun.

This resort caters to the discerning traveler looking for peace and relaxation on a beautiful beach. This resort is small and quiet but has enough to keep you busy if you’re more active.
This is not an all inclusive resort but has Restaraunt options onsite. I loved Mistura - not just for the food but the view is incredible.

The resort has a main house, jungle suites and the amazing Esencia Mansion for a true luxury family vacation. This new 10,000 sq ft., four-bedroom villa, with three swimming pools, just completed in 2022, was designed to be immersed in nature, with 360 degree rooftop ocean views, providing the ultimate in privacy and seclusion, yet less than a five minute walk to the beach, restaurants, spa, gym, and all hotel facilities. A helicopter landing pad and private tennis court are just a few steps away.

If you are looking for true luxury accommodations and are a fitness enthusiast this resort is a great fit (see what I did there 😉) because the wellness suites feature either a Pelaton or Mirror. Featuring a private fitness studio off the master bedroom, these suites were awarded the Wellness Star of the Year Award by Forbes Travel Guide in 2021 for their innovation in luxury wellness travel.

I absolutely fell in LOVE with the Esencia Suite, located in the main house. The main house was created by the first owner- an Italian Duchess. Featuring a master bedroom with INCREDIBLE ocean views, a domed living room, a light-drenched master bathroom with double bathtub and steam shower, a second full guest bathroom, a reading den (or second bedroom) immersed in the jungle with windows on three sides including more ocean views – and a Peloton bicycle – this grand suite offers the ultimate in indoor/outdoor living. The travel and destination wedding industry has suffered a tremendous loss.

Will Medina was a bright and beloved light that inspired so many. He was a fierce advocate for professionalism and pushed not only himself but so many travel advisors to succeed far beyond what they even expected.

Thank you, Will for the guidance and the example you set for all of us. Thank you for your humor and perseverance during COVID, which we all went to. I left a lot of the travel agent Facebook groups in 2020 to protect my own mental peace, but I always stayed in Will’s group because he did not allow any ridiculousness and only allowed professional advisors. He did not suffer fools.

I am certain that his soul is somewhere in the Caribbean now but will live on for many years with all of those he inspired.

What’s the difference between a travel Advisor and a Booking agent or travel website?

A true travel advisor is there to listen to what you want out of your vacation and help you choose the right destination.
