Some recent trips, had a return crew from Michigan that wanted some reel pull on the line. We found it, summer fishing is hot as the weather. The last couple of days showed some constant non stop action. Problem was most of the trout were just under the 13” class, and I mean just under. We did manage to still box a nice mess of specs and some white trout. The action is fast and furious, as soon as your bait hits the water it’s going under. You just got to w**d through to make a nice box of specs. Action should remain this hot throughout the summer, barring no Mother Nature issues. Ran a family trip for Dude on Sunday, I was boat one of two. Once on board my crew was itching to do some catching. Loaded down with live shrimp and an eager crew off we went. It started a little slow with no real tide and dirty water. It didn’t take long and it turned on, within an hour we had a 3 man limit of nice specked trout. The spring trout bite is on fire. Now is the time to get out there and get after them. Still have some dates available in March and April but going fast. Book your trip today.

February is slow, hmmmm wasn’t today. I had my mentor none other than Capt Ahab (Ron Broadus) and his buddy Wayne with me today. With the low water I haven’t had the chance to run the motor after getting fixed. Big shout out to Mike at Magnum Marine. He has my Evinrude humming. Any way did a little running around to put the motor through its paces. Finally got to the spot I wanted to try and it was one stop shop. Had our 15 drum by 10:00 am and back in time to catch LSU win their first of the season. Spring is just around the corner and fishing is only going to get better and better. Photo Dump from the last week or so. The fall fishing is red hot, the trout when the wind allows asr hungry and waiting, the reds don’t care.
