Ran a family trip for Dude on Sunday, I was boat one of two. Once on board my crew was itching to do some catching. Loaded down with live shrimp and an eager crew off we went. It started a little slow with no real tide and dirty water. It didn’t take long and it turned on, within an hour we had a 3 man limit of nice specked trout. The spring trout bite is on fire. February is slow, hmmmm wasn’t today. I had my mentor none other than Capt Ahab (Ron Broadus) and his buddy Wayne with me today. With the low water I haven’t had the chance to run the motor after getting fixed. Big shout out to Mike at Magnum Marine. He has my Evinrude humming. Any way did a little running around to put the motor through its paces. Finally got to the spot I wanted to try and it was one stop shop. Had our 15 drum by 10:00 am and back in time to catch LSU win their first of the season. Spring is just around the corner and fishing is only going to get better and better. Having computer issues so photo dump time. This past Friday I had some guys in from Georgia that were looking to limit out on reds, well that wasn’t a problem. The reds weren’t necessarily stacked but a little moving around and we found them. We did have a pretty good ESE wind to ruin my recent trout spot but still we did our job. Thanks to Dudenhefer Charters’s for the trip and all were caught on 4 Horseman Corks and Campo’s awesome live shrimp.

With the intentions to put some young anglers on some fish we headed out this morning. It took a bit for them to adjust but they did and put a nice box of mixed trout together. They had a blast today. Wasn’t as productive spec trout wise, but when kids are involved you take what the water gives you. At the end of the day cooked up some deer cube steak provided by a good friend Dwayne Tallent. It was awesome. Great day to be on the water. Fishing is off the chart, looking to get on some real meat haul book your trip today.

Had the pleasure of having return clients Brandon Salser and his son Cadin on board. The bite was hot and heavy, caught tons of 17”
Reds to go with the two man limit we could keep as well as the bulls that showed up. We also found some really big trout. Looking to do a repeat with these two tomorrow. Spring fishing is on fire, now is the time if you want to get in on some fantastic fishing before the temps get too hot book now. The trout have been on fire, and the redfish are really starting to kick off. Limited dates available in May so book yours today. Lodging also available upon request. All fish fell prey to either Campo’s Marina Live shrimp or Sweetwater Marina live shrimp, Boom Boom Shrimp all under a 4 Horseman Cork.

I had the pleasure of having Adam Arredondo and two of his buddies to join me in a trout fest. Adam was the winner of the “Fight like the Dickens” fundraiser at Gnarly Barley. From the first cast till 8:30-9:00 we put a three man limit of trout in the box. After that we went searching for reds, found plenty of 17” reds, but still we were able to put some reds, flounder, sheepshead and a freshwater cat to boot. Fishing is phenomenal right now, get in while the action is hot. Remember we also offer gift certificates for those still looking for that perfect Christmas gift.
