A few weeks ago, our advisors Shannon and Melanie spent the day in Elgin attending one of MAST Travel Network’s Summer Workshops!

They had a great day connecting peer-to-peer with fellow travel advisors and spending time with many of our travel partners, including Royal Caribbean, Apple Vacations, river cruise partners, and more.

We love watching our team continue to learn and grow, not only by strengthening their knowledge in the destinations and travel experiences they already specialize in, but also by discovering new travel partners and opportunities to grow their businesses and better serve their clients.

Every Disney vacation has one unforgettable beginning... For some families, it's seeing Cinderella Castle for the very first time.

For others, it's hearing the train whistle as they step onto Main Street.

For me, it's this view.

These pumpkins welcome thousands of guests every fall, but they represent something much bigger than seasonal decorations. They're the moment vacation officially begins.

The planning is finished.

The countdown is over.

Some of the most valuable travel research we do doesn’t happen at a resort. Sometimes, it happens around a small table with a great group of professionals ✈️🌴

Tabitha and I recently had the opportunity to attend a small Lunch & Learn with our ALGV and Hyatt Inclusive Collection partners, along with representatives from three resorts we’re excited to share more about:

And this winter, you can get to each of these resorts from Rockford Airport with seasonal flights.

We get to move beyond the beautiful resort photos and marketing materials and have real conversations with the people who know these properties inside and out. We can ask questions, hear firsthand experiences from other travel professionals, learn the little details that don’t always make it onto a website, and strengthen our relationships with the people we work with when planning your vacations.

Because being a travel advisor isn’t about knowing every resort in the world.

It’s about building the right connections, continually learning, and knowing who to call when we need to find the right experience for you.

Last night was a great reminder of just how many incredible vacation options are available right here from our own backyard! ✈️🌴

I had the chance to spend the evening at Chicago Rockford International Airport connecting with our partners at ALG Vacations, along with resort partners from throughout Mexico and the Caribbean.

ALG Vacations is an important partner for our team at Simply Mouse Vacations, and our Business Development Manager, Sue, has been an incredible resource and supporter as we've continued to grow this part of our business. These industry events give us the opportunity to connect directly with the people behind the destinations and resorts we recommend to our clients every day.

And, of course, one of my favorite parts is getting to catch up with some of our SMV advisors in person! We may work remotely, but it's always fun when work brings us together. 💕

But here's the part I really want our Northwest Illinois and Southern Wisconsin travelers to know:

🌴 **Nonstop vacation flights from Rockford are back this winter!**

RFD will offer seasonal nonstop service to:
✈️ Cancun, Mexico
✈️ Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
✈️ Costa Rica

If you've ever flown from Rockford, you know how easy it is. Smaller airport, convenient parking, and no trip into Chicago before your vacation even begins.

These flights are **seasonal and limited**, with most beginning in January and Costa Rica beginning in early February. That means now is the time to start looking if a warm-weather escape is on your winter wish list.
