Some travel experiences are exciting.

Some are beautiful.

And some simply leave you quiet.

Normandy was that for me.

Standing on the beaches where history changed forever—knowing the courage, sacrifice and unimaginable human cost represented by the ground beneath our feet—was profoundly moving.

You can read about D-Day.

You can watch documentaries.

You can study the photographs.

But standing there is different.

The enormity becomes personal.

The history becomes human.

And gratitude takes on an entirely different meaning.

This wasn't simply another stop on our journey through France.

It was an experience of remembrance, reflection and profound respect.

🚢 DENISE TRAVELS | Why River Cruising Is Our Thing

I've discovered something about the way Milling and I love to travel...

River cruising fits us. ❤️

Smaller ships. Quaint villages. Authentic experiences. Fascinating history. Local culture. Beautiful scenery unfolding just outside your window.

And perhaps my favorite part—the people.

There's something wonderfully intimate about traveling on a smaller ship. You begin recognizing faces. Conversations happen naturally. Meals are shared. Stories are exchanged.

And somewhere along the river, strangers often become friends.

Our journey along the Seine reminded me why we love this style of travel so much.

It's slower.

More intentional.

More personal.

And sometimes it feels as though you're stepping back in time.

❤️ DENISE TRAVELS | The Most Impressive Part Wasn't the Resort

During my visit to Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana, I experienced extraordinary accommodations, beautiful pools, incredible dining and impressive amenities.

But one experience touched my heart more than anything else.

We were invited behind the scenes to visit The Village—a community Palace has intentionally created adjacent to the resort for the thousands of people who work there.

We walked through the apartments. We learned about the vision for welcoming employees and their families and continuing to build a true community—with gardens, healthcare, a church, laundry facilities and more.

And I kept thinking...
THIS is hospitality.
Not the beautiful lobby.
Not the infinity pool.
Not the restaurants.
The PEOPLE.

The people who welcome us. Care for us. Prepare our meals. Maintain our rooms. Create our experiences.

Seeing that same care being invested back into them was incredibly meaningful to me.

The Grand impressed me.
The Village touched my heart. ❤️
Kindness matters—wherever in the world we find it.

Sometimes you simply have to say YES to the experience.

One of our Paris must-dos was dinner at Madame Brasserie—located inside the Eiffel Tower.

Four beautifully presented courses. French Ch*****ne. French wines.

And Paris surrounding us. 🗼🥂

WOW.

Yes, you can see the Eiffel Tower.

You can photograph it.

You can admire it sparkling against the night sky.

But experiencing dinner inside one of the world's most recognizable landmarks?

That's the kind of memory that stays with you.

It's also something I believe deeply about travel:
