Small streams ftw, always. The intimacy and the ability these streams have to force you to be accurate and intentional with each cast. The payoff is just that much sweeter regardless of the size. Also a great excuse for owning a short 1-3wt. Today was a TFO Signature III 6' 2wt. Small stimmies and the Royal Wulff did the trick. This time of the year you can pick out any bœuffy fly from your fly box and get some fun, aggressive takes.

Nothing but brook trout! It's rare to find these kinds of streams in Southeastern Minnesota these days but there are a few that exist and this was one of them. Eagerly taking GFA hoppers throughout the day.
