🎬✨ Celebrate National Drive-In Movie Day the classic way! ✨🎬

There’s nothing quite like watching a movie under the stars—and right here in the Juniata River Valley, you can still experience that timeless magic at the Midway Drive-in Theatre! One of the last remaining drive-ins in Pennsylvania, it’s a nostalgic gem that brings big-screen fun to warm summer nights.

Whether you’re planning a family outing or a cozy date night, the drive-in is the perfect spot to kick back, tune in, and enjoy the show from the comfort of your car. Don’t forget to swing by the concession stand for buttery popcorn, sweet treats, and all your movie-night favorites!

Grab your blankets, pack the car, and make it a night to remember—because movies just hit different at the drive-in.

Wander Wednesday 🌿

Step back more than 200 years with a visit to Lewistown’s Old Stone Arch Bridge—built in 1813 and still standing strong today. In fact, there’s no known bridge older than it anywhere west of here in the United States.

Once part of the historic Harrisburg–Pittsburgh Turnpike (not to be confused with the PA Turnpike!), this remarkable structure has seen centuries of travel, change, and history. Even more impressive? It was built without a keystone—a rare feature that makes it even more unique.

Today, thanks to thoughtful restoration in 2006, the bridge and surrounding area have been transformed into a peaceful public park. It’s the perfect spot to slow down and soak it all in. Bring a picnic, take a stroll, or just relax on a bench and listen to the gentle flow of Jack’s Creek.

You might find visitors walking their dogs, snapping photos, working remotely, or simply enjoying a quiet moment along the old William Penn Highway corridor.

Recognized as one of the top 50 oldest bridges in the country and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this hidden gem is a must-see right here in Mifflin County.
