When you book a Walt Disney World vacation package, Disney throws in a free round of mini golf as a Magical Extra. Cute perk… but do you actually use it, or does it live forever on the “maybe next time” list?

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort gives you two totally different vibes, even though they’re sister resorts.

French Quarter is my pick — it’s smaller, quieter, and you can walk anywhere in just a couple minutes. Plus, the beignets… enough said.

Riverside has that big, peaceful, “slow down and breathe” charm, with gorgeous trails and the full food court.

Both are officially Moderate Resorts at Walt Disney World, and both offer the Sassagoula River boat service to Disney Springs (per Disney’s site).

California Grill sits on top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and yes — it really is that kind of splurge. It is a Signature Dining experience, complete with panoramic views and a menu that leans gourmet. It’s unforgettable… but is it your kind of magic?

When in Hogsmeade… do you grab a wand or just soak in the vibes?

Even if you’re only mildly into Harry Potter, it’s wild how fast the interactive wands pull you in. You can cast spells all over Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley with an interactive wand — complete with mapped spell locations and effects that actually react when you get the motion right.
