Day 3 – Costa Rica Adventures by Disney: Our Very Own Jungle Cruise 🌿🐊🦜
One of the things I’m loving most about Adventures by Disney is how they take care of every detail, allowing us to simply enjoy the experience.
Our day started with what has quickly become one of my favorite Costa Rica traditions—a fresh cup of Costa Rican French press coffee. Seriously… chef’s kiss. ☕️
We then made the 2.5-hour journey north toward the Nicaraguan border. And because this is Adventures by Disney, even the rest stop was elevated. Instead of pulling into a random gas station, we arrived at a private location with spotless facilities, a beautiful setup of snacks, and what may have been the most delicious pineapple I’ve ever tasted. 🍍
The highlight of the day was our river safari through one of Costa Rica’s most wildlife-rich regions. We boarded a boat captained by the incredibly talented Mango, whose ability to spot wildlife was nothing short of remarkable. Animals, birds, reptiles—things I would have driven right past without ever noticing—were suddenly appearing before our eyes. Within minutes, we were seeing species hidden high in the trees, tucked into the brush, and camouflaged along the riverbanks.
And here’s where Adventures by Disney really shines. Great trips have knowledgeable guides. Exceptional trips have guides who are passionate about what they’re sharing. One of our Adventure Guides is absolutely fascinated by birds, and that enthusiasm was contagious. Every sighting became a story, every call became a clue, and the entire experience felt less like a tour and more like exploring with a friend who genuinely loves the destination.

After our jungle cruise, we arrived at a surprisingly elegant venue tucked away in a remote corner of Costa Rica, where a delicious lunch awaited us. It was one of those experiences that perfectly captures what Adventures by Disney does best—taking you to places you likely wouldn’t find on your own while still providing comfort, great food, and seamless service.
Following lunch, we settled back into our motorcoach and made our way to the resort. And after a day spent exploring the wild side of Costa Rica, there was no better way to end it than soaking in the resort’s natural hot springs. Daniel and I spent the evening relaxing in the warm mineral waters, reflecting on everything we had seen throughout the day.
Three days in, and what continues to impress me most is how Adventures by Disney combines authentic experiences, expert guides, VIP touches, and stress-free travel into one incredible vacation.
