Step back to 1775 in a whole new way!

The new iREV Mixed Reality Tour at the Lexington Visitors Center combines immersive technology with expert historical storytelling to bring Revolutionary Lexington to life. Led by a costumed guide, visitors can explore historic spaces like the Meeting House and Belfry and experience what these important sites may have looked like on the eve of the American Revolution.

Tours are approximately 20 minutes long and begin at the Lexington Visitors Center.

On Saturday, May 16, visitors will have the opportunity to explore Lexington's Witness Houses!

Tour 1: 9:00am – Features six Witness Houses and a visit to Hancock-Clarke House
Tour 2: 11:00am – Features seven Witness Houses and a visit to Munroe Tavern
Tour 3: 2:30pm – Features seven Witness Houses and a visit to Munroe Tavern
Tour 4: 4:00pm – Features six Witness Houses and a visit to the Hancock-Clarke House

Walking Tour Details:

All tours are Free of Charge.
All tours are 2.5 hours long.
Each tour includes a 30-minute visit to the Lexington History Museum.
Tours begin and end outside the Lexington Visitors Center, 1875 Massachusetts Avenue.
Tours will start promptly at the appointed time. Arrive early!
Tours will be held rain or shine.
Space is Limited. Attendance is first-come, first-served.

Last Friday, we pulled back the curtain on iREV, and it was a blast! Thank you to everyone who joined us for the unveiling and press conference!

With iREV, you will be able to step into history itself. Travel back to the 18th Century and experience where the iconic Meeting House and Belfry once stood, brought to life right before your eyes.

The first highlights three US Presidents who have visited Lexington throughout history. The second celebrates Lexington’s dedicated volunteers, who have generously donated more than 250,000 hours of service over the past year as part of the . From the brave patriots who volunteered in 1775 to the community members who continue to give their time today, volunteerism remains at the heart of Lexington’s values.
