This is the weekend. THE WEEKEND. Have supper with Santa and Mrs. Clause at the hospital and visit the Christmas animals. Make sure the kids have fun with the Snowball Drop, Parade and Tree lighting downtown--all on Friday evening. The Christmas Bazaar and Craft show is happening on Saturday at the high school, then finish up the weekend with the Holiday Homes Tour on Saturday and Sunday.

Looking for a Veterans Day road trip? Lexington has a special place for a visit.

Dedicated in 2006, with all of the American Legion posts in Lafayette County, this memorial is on the west side of the Lafayette County Courthouse lawn and lists the names of everyone who served from Lafayette county.

There is a central column,with graphics for each branch of service. Also included are acknowledgement of those KIA, and tribute to the Merchant Marines, the Reserves and to civilians during World War II. https://www.visitlexingtonmo.com
