So here is the Olive Grove yesterday. A winter wonderland that many of us have experienced along with a snow event that has been incredible and historical. Hoping you all are safe and warm. Anyone have a giant hair dryer?🤨

What a year! A huge thank you to all who have supported A Girl and an Olive. We had the good fortune of a bountiful year. We had the best harvesters and I think we made the best oil ever. We wish you and your families a very Happy Holiday Season and the best and healthiest of New Years❤️

Merry Christmas,
Beth

Hello to everyone out there. We had a beautiful harvest with our harvesters coming from Pensacola and Immokalee, Fl, Lillian and Elberta,Al. We were able to harvest almost 7,000 pounds of olives resulting in 60.5 gallons of olive oil. Our oil is being bottled and labeled as we speak. Our order form should be up very shortly on agirlandanolive.com. Our 500 ml bottle is 40.00 and our 250ml is 20.00. We look forward to hearing from you soon!!
My Best,
Beth Clark

Hello Everyone,

We have not forgotten about you! In the last two years we have had the misfortune of no olives on our trees. However… this year they have woken up and we have a beautiful load of fruit. We are hoping for a bounty harvest this year. All fingers, toes and eyes crossed. So just wanted to touch base. Normally our oil should be ready for purchase by November. A lot can happen between now and then. We are optimistic and we shall keep you informed on our progress. For those who have not gone to our website agirlandanolive.com, you can leave your email on our order form page and we can let you know when the oil will be available. Hope this finds everyone happy and healthy.

My Best,
Beth Clark

I wanted to touch base with each of you and let you know how the olive grove is fairing along with fruit load this year. We had a decent amount of flowering however we also had winds during flowering time that blew most of the those blooms off. As a result we have very few olives. So few that unfortunately and my heart is broken, will not be having our normal harvest. So what that means no oil for the year. I know people look forward to giving these as gifts fo the Holidays. Because of our issues I would like to recommend some others oils and where you can purchase these. The first is Lucchetti olive oil in Sonoma. Rob says the oil should be ready by late November to early December. A 250ml bottle is 20.00 and the 500ml is 40.00. Tsarina olive oil is formally Talcott oil and they offer a 350ml bottle for 35.00. You can call Annie Trimpe at 707-252-9065. The last is Round Pond. They offer a 350ml bottle for 48.00 and an 8 ounce bottle for 38.00. Their contact is 888-302-2575. We are hoping for the best year next year. Prayers and fingers crossed. In the mean time schedule a tour. We would love to show you around.
My Best,
Beth Clark

It’s olive oil time again. We had a very cool spring which provided us with a later harvest. This year we had no hurricanes. Yay! Our damaged trees from last year are coming back slowly. Don’t know when they might be producing again, however we had a good fruit load on the trees that were unaffected. We did have a good harvest. We just finished the last two varieties. Very soon our order page will be up and going at agirlandanolive.com. You may place your order soon. This year along with our 500ml and 200ml bottles we will offer a gift bag for 2.50 each. Thanks again for your support of A Girl and an Olive. Happy Holidays to all!

Just wanted to give you all a quick update on how the olive grove is shaping up this year. Most of the trees that were affected by Hurricane Sally and Tropical Storm Zeta are coming back. We will replant next year to replace some of the trees that just didn’t make it. The good news is we have a nice fruit load so keep your fingers crossed as harvest is about a month away. We shall see what this year brings. Once again please go to agirlandanolive.com to leave your email so we may contact you when the olive oil will be available. Go to the contact page to type in your information. I also would like to share a recipe with you as well. It is Greek Pasta Salad. Very delicous. No one will turn this down.

Also this year we will add a 250ml bottle of oil for 15.00 and we have our 500ml bottle for 25.00. Hope everyone out there is happy and healthy. Be back in touch when our oil is ready.

My Best.

Greetings from A Girl and an Olive, with this year being a truly unusual one. I hope this finds you healthy and safe. Between experiencing Covid 19, a major hurricane, two tropical storms, along with alternate bearing, we have a limited supply of oil this year. We could not harvest the last two varieties because of the storms. We have had the experience of having 770 trees down with roots out of the ground, which has provided us with the daunting task of cutting trees down to get the roots back in the ground so they will stand up and hopefully re-root themselves. As we go forward, I don’t know what will happen in the future in terms of harvest with our compromised trees. Stay tuned as it’s all been an interesting ride. I am truly grateful for all of you being so interested and supportive of A Girl and an Olive. This year the little oil that we have harvested and pressed has been sold. It’s all been disappointing. However, I wish you health and safety and here’s hoping for a better 2021 on all fronts.

My Best,
Beth Clark

A Girl and an Olive was pleased to host Bayshore Christian School (of Fairhope, AL) to the grove. It was our first field trip visit and we had a blast. The students participated in potato sack races and searched for the olive that had pimentos in tree rows 18 and 19. We look forward to sharing the grove with more visitors in the future!

We cannot begin to thank everybody for the support we have experienced. In just a week we have already sold nearly half of our bottles. We have started emailing purchasers about coordinating pick-up and are excited for everyone to try this year's oil.

For our Lillian and surrounding area friends, A Girl and an Olive will be set-up at the Lillian Recreational Center's Market in the Park on November 16th from 8 AM to 12 PM.

*Updated pictures and details for ordering olive oil!*

Here are updated pictures from our 2019 harvest. We are very pleased with this year’s product! We are still in the process of bottling, but expect to have almost six times the amount of bottles we had last year. With that said, inventory is still limited.

Bottles are $25 each. We prefer to have local pick-up / delivery, but please reach out to me at (205) 243-1880 to discuss shipping if interested.

We are offering to our Facebook followers (and their friends) an opportunity to order before we open the orders to the general public. For ease of ordering, we have established an order form that is provided at the link below. You will see that we now accept Venmo and Paypal.

We anticipate that the olive oil will be ready early to mid November. Perfect timing for giving your Thanksgiving dinner host or stuffing in a loved one’s stocking! We appreciate your continued support and please reach out with any questions or concerns.
