Honeyberry Adventures We grow Honey Berries in Lima, MT, 6200ft in elevation, almost at the top of Monida Pass. Honey berries love it up on our mountain.

Rain, beautiful straight down rain. We got to be close to an inch today. We hadn’t had an inch of moisture combined all spring, since March. Praise the Lord, it might be just enough to make the grass grow.

Blossom is all but finished. Time to grow some bush which will produce 2027 berries.

Weird stuff going on up here on our mountain. Normally blossoms start to show up just after May 1. Today I am seeing several of the aurora bushes in this row with a blossom or 2. Nothing on the indigo gem or tundra (normally the earliest varieties) yet, but they have broken bud and should be starting blooming any day now.

Are we going to be picking July 4th honeyberries in Lima?

Berries are at their sweetest now and just a little overripe. For that reason the price has been lowered to $5 a pound.
