Its time to meet Explore Lincolnton–Lincoln County Georgia!

Explore Lincolnton–Lincoln County Georgia, Inc. is an independent nonprofit 501c6 tourism organization created to help more people discover the places, events and experiences that make our community special.

The focus is promoting through marketing avenues:

📍 Local attractions, history and hidden gems
🚤 Clarks Hill Lake and outdoor recreation
🛍️ Places to shop, eat, stay and explore while visiting
🎶 Festivals, events and seasonal traditions that draw visitors

Our goal is to encourage visitors to come, stay longer, explore more, return often and support local businesses.

For a small community like ours, consistent communication matters. Explore LLCGA will provide a clear, recognizable destination message throughout the year—helping visitors discover the places, experiences, events and stories that make Lincolnton and Lincoln County GA worth exploring.

Helping us tell that story are Bentley & Reed, our traveling community mascots. Bentley, the little red Jeep, and Reed, the ski boat, represent adventures on the road, water and at events.

Note: Explore LLCGA is separate from the Lincoln County Development Authority and the Lincolnton–Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce. Our specific focus is tourism promotion and building a recognizable destination brand for our community.

Explore LLCGA is supported primarily through designated hotel-motel tax revenue generated by overnight stays at local hotels and eligible short-term rentals. These funds are provided monthly through the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners and the City of Lincolnton as a percentage of the overall revenue collected. A full accounting of the spending of these funds is submitted to each entity and the state to ensure adherence to standards for a direct marketing organization.

As Lincolnton & Lincoln County Georgia celebrates America’s 250th, we want to collect photos, short videos, and memories that help tell the story of our amazing community.

Bentley & Reed are helping us celebrate these small-town moments — from Main Street to the lake, from historic places to family traditions, and everywhere in between.

The May House front porch will be decorated with a patriotic theme. Take family photos on the porch or anywhere on the grounds, and enjoy the guided electronic tour while you are there.

Take photos in front of one of our most recognizable community landmarks.

Meet Bentley & Reed — our newest little explorers for Lincolnton-Lincoln County, Georgia!

Bentley & Reed were found during the Uptown Lincolnton revitalization work on N. Peachtree Street, tucked away inside one of our old downtown buildings after 5 decades of being out of sight. Now, this little Jeep and boat have a brand-new role: helping us share the small-town stories, local businesses, lake adventures, historic places, and family-friendly stops that make our community special.

From Clarks Hill Lake to downtown Lincolnton, from local restaurants and shops to festivals, markets, and hidden pieces of history, Bentley & Reed are here to remind us that big adventures really can start in a small town.

Follow along as they explore, visit local favorites, meet community faces, and help celebrate all the reasons to love Lincolnton-Lincoln County.
