Day 7: Day at Sea

I really enjoy stopping at ports on a cruise, but I also love a sea day!! You get to sleep in (or not) and do as much or little as you want. You can take a nap and not feel like you are missing out on experiencing a port.

We enjoyed our last breakfast as Cabanas with Churro Mickey Waffles!! IYKYK. We relaxed with a speciality coffee, played mini golf and shuffle board, tried to win a metal with lots of trivia, and experienced our first drawing class. The boys also tried their luck at Chip it Golf!!

Tonight, we also took the opportunity to celebrate one of the reasons we were on this cruise, my graduation from college. I started that journey 21 years ago and didn't quite finish back then. I FINALLY finished about a week before we left on the cruise. I'm excited to have my degree and looking forward to the next chapter!

Day 6- Castaway Cay

How lucky are we?! We were able to experience both of Disney's islands on this cruise!! After visiting Lookout Cay, we were definitely comparing the two experiences. Both are amazing, beautiful, relaxing beach days!! I think our consensus is that we enjoyed Lookout a little bit more because of all of the extra space and the sand. I was surprised by our decisions.

Anyone else prefer Lookout to Castaway?

On Castaway, I had my first jetski experience. I kept being told that I needed to go faster. 🤭 I guess it's not my thing, but I'm glad I tried!! Castaway was already getting ready for the Holidays, which was my favorite part of the whole day!!

Pirate night is always a favorite night. Disney's fireworks at sea are unmatched by any other cruisline!!

Day 5- Nassau, Bahamas

We've been to Nassau a few times before but I have not gotten off the ship to visit the port since the recent updates. I'll admit I was hesitant to get off the ship this cruise as well, based on previous visits, but it was time to give it a try!!

We had a relaxing morning and a late breakfast before heading off the ship to explore. We stayed in the new shopping area, grabbed a few souvenirs, and then got back on the ship. The port is MUCH better than it was, but we were ready to be back on the Disney Dream where we could get some lunch at Cabanas and eat unlimited ice cream.

We explored more of the ship, played shuffleboard, played some trivia, and relaxed.
