Gaston Getaway's story began many years ago when the original owners built the home on some of the first developed land which became 'Lakefront' when the dam was built in 1963 and Lake Gaston was born. The cottage was expanded upon in 1999, and was loved for many years when we purchased it in 2020. We feel very lucky to be a part of this home and the Lake Gaston area, and have lovingly updated the
interior giving it a comfortable-luxurious feel. it is incredibly peaceful in our cove on Little Stonehouse Creek. Surrounded by the water, trees and nature it is truly a place to come and relax. The home is a classic lake cottage at ~2,000 sq ft to kick back and enjoy, with plenty of sleeping space in the 5 bedrooms (4 king beds, 1 double bunkroom) and room to relax in two very comfortable living & dining areas - one on each level of the home. The screened in porch has a large solid wood table to dine al fresco & cozy sectional to lounge on, with the cafe lights on in the evening itโs a little slice of heaven (especially during a rainstorm!)
On top of all that, we have several kayaks for the whole family to enjoy, as well as large water mat to play on in the lake. We have cornhole boards for guests to play on our wide, flat yard with over 150' of shoreline overlooking beautiful Lake Gaston. During the evening, we have a Solo Stove Yukon firepit for everyone to gather around. We welcome all to come enjoy a beautiful Gaston Getaway!
