The state says you need the class. We're paying for it. To buy an AR, an AK, or a similar semi-auto r***e in Colorado, you now need a fi****ms safety course. This October, the tuition is on us.

We have a champion.

Round 01 of Battle of the Brands went to the Alpha Foxtrot Romulus Comp.

Eight brands. Eight compensated 2011s. Four lanes, six rounds a gun, one box of ammo, back to back on the same day. Nobody was paid to be here and no sponsor picked the winner — you shot all eight, you scored all eight, and you dropped the card in the box. This is the one that came out on top.

9mm, 17+1 and 20+1, 4.25" bull threaded barrel, integrated comp, optic-ready with the plates in the box. It's in the case at both stores if you want to put hands on it.

September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years ago this morning, 2,977 people went to work, boarded a plane, or reported for a shift, and never came home. Among them were 343 members of the FDNY, 37 Port Authority police officers, and 23 NYPD officers who went up the stairs while everyone else was coming down.

We remember them today. We remember the passengers of Flight 93, who found out from phone calls home what was happening, and went at that cockpit door anyway. And we remember what this country looked like on September 12th.

Never forget.
