Stitching the People’s History comes to Warrenton this June

Stories, craftsmanship, and community come together at Stitching the People’s History, a three day quilt exhibition presented by Heritage Quilters. Through quilts and the lives of past and present history makers, this special exhibit explores the stories, traditions, and legacies woven into every stitch.

The exhibition is free and open to the public and will be held at the Warren County Memorial Library in Warrenton.

Step In. Stay Awhile. This store will make you want to come back time and time again. The friendly faces, the items you long forgot, down to the delicious food. You will be so glad you visited.

We want to send a huge thank you to Cliff and the entire PBS North Carolina team for telling the story of Buchanan’s Store so beautifully. Since 1878, this old store has remained in the hands of the original family and continues to stand because of the amazing community and locals who have supported and operated it through generations. We’re honored to be part of North Carolina history and grateful to everyone who has walked through our doors over the years. Thank you for helping keep small-town stories alive. ❤️

Memorial Day weekend marks the start of summer in Warren County, NC!

The lakes are buzzing. Patios fill with good conversation. Live music drifts through town, and families gather for long weekends by the water.

🚲 Blue skies, open roads, and a little extra kindness go a long way in Warren County.

As more visitors and locals explore our beautiful backroads by bicycle, it’s important to remember that North Carolina law allows cyclists to use the full lane when needed for safety. Drivers should only pass when there is clear space and no oncoming traffic.

And don’t forget: North Carolina requires motorists to give cyclists at least 3 feet of space when passing.

Whether you’re behind the wheel or behind the handlebars, we all share the road together. A little patience helps keep everyone safe while enjoying the places that make Warren County special.
