The Geminid meteor shower - always a highlight of the meteor year - is expected to peak on the night of December 13-14 (Sunday evening until dawn Monday). But don't wait till then to watch these meteors, as we expect every weekend night to produce a good display.

ATTENTION: Wildlife Management Hunt next week.

Enchanted Rock SNA will be closing at 3PM on Monday, December 7th and will reopen on Friday, December 11th at 2PM.

The park will be closed to the public during this time.
Only registered drawn hunters will be allowed into the park.

A reservation is required to enter the park Fridays through Mondays and on any School Holiday.

Hunting Season is rapidly approaching.

We'd like to remind y'all that the park does close periodically throughout hunting season to allow for Wildlife Management activities in the park. This includes removing invasive species such as Feral Hogs, Axis & Audad; along with maintaining a sustainable & healthy population of native White-tailed Deer.

The park will be closed the following weeks between 3PM Monday through 2PM Friday.
* October 19th through 23rd, 2020
* November 9th through 13th, 2020
* December 7th through 11th, 2020
* January 11th through 15th, 2021

No visitors will be allowed into the park except drawn hunt participants.

For views that are unbeatable, and not to mention a great time, consider hiking up Old Baldy in Wimberley! This short (roughly .53 miles) but steep hike rewards you with a bird’s eye view of the Frio River Canyon.
