We’ll be closed on Tuesday, August 5, as we take the best crew around out for a well-deserved day of fun and relaxation! Our team has worked hard all summer, keeping things running smoothly, making our guests feel welcome, and giving it their all.
We couldn’t do what we do without them, and Tuesday is all about showing our appreciation for all their hard work!
We’ll be back open on Wednesday, ready for more paddling adventures!

The river is running too high today to safely send out trips, so we’ll be closed again today (7/28). We're looking forward to sunnier days ahead on the water.

Due to high water levels (again), we’ll be closed today, July 27, for river trips. Safety is always our top priority, and today just isn’t a safe day to be out on the water.
Mother Nature’s been keeping us on our toes all summer, but we’re rolling with it, and we appreciate you doing the same!

We’re starting the day with higher-than-average water levels on the river. For safety, we’ll be running rafts only this morning, and only on our 5-mile trip.
As the water levels continue to drop throughout the day, we’re hoping to add in kayaks for experienced paddlers aged 16 and up on Trip A—we’ll keep you posted!
Thanks for your patience and understanding as we prioritize safety while still making the most of a great day on the river.

Happy 4th of July!
The river is still running a bit high today, so we do have a few safety restrictions in place:
Canoes – Allowed for experienced paddlers only, with no more than 2 people per canoe
Kayaks – Available for guests 16 and older
Rafts – The best option for families and newer paddlers
Tubes – Running today for guests 12 and up
Trip B – Kayaks only, for experienced paddlers 16+
It’s a beautiful day to be on the water, and we’re here to make sure it stays safe and fun for everyone! As always, feel free to reach out with questions or stop by and chat with our team before heading out.

Our Story

Aaron Fox opened Hocking Hills Canoe Livery in May of 1996 born on the need for a quality outfitter on the Hocking River. We began with 35 boats (about 30 too many for the first year) and lots of good energy. Now in 2019 we have grown to over 300 various watercraft. We have not pushed our growth but feel that our customers demanded it with the need for great customer service. We love what we do and hope that we can share our passions with you and your family.
