Due to high river levels, we will not be putting any boats on the river today, Monday May 25, 2026. The safety of our guests and staff will always come first.

At this time on Saturday, May 23rd, river levels are too high for us to safely send guests out on the water. While we know many people are eager to get on the river, 30 years of experience has taught us where the line is between a fun trip and an unsafe one.
Closing or restricting trips is never a decision we enjoy making, but protecting our guests, staff, and families will always matter more than sending boats out.

We will continue monitoring river conditions closely and will reopen trips as soon as levels return to a safe range. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding! Stay tuned for updates!

Just 2 days until we’re back on the river!
Yesterday was spent doing one of the most important (and often unseen) parts of getting ready for the season-making sure the river is ready for YOU.
We were out with chainsaws and pole saws, clearing back branches and checking the entire stretch to make sure everything is safe and passable after the winter and spring.
And we have to say… the river is looking absolutely beautiful right now!
It’s something we do every year because your experience and your safety matters to us.

We’ve been busy getting everything ready for the season. Even our put-in spots are prepped so there’s no mud for our awesome customers!
We kick off the season on Saturday, April 11, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to the river. After opening day, we’ll be open 5 days a week, closed on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.

**Opening Day:** Saturday, April 11**
For 30 years, Hocking Hills Canoe Livery has been helping guests enjoy a relaxing day on the Hocking River! Top notch customer service and a great experience on the river is still at the center of everything we do today.

After opening weekend, we will be open 5 days a week, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the early season.

If you’re ready for some fresh air and a float down the Hocking River, the season is almost here-less than 4 weeks to go! We are so excited to welcome everyone back!
